Taking off

Greetings! We are still in Bellevue on this chilly, socked-in, October-in-the-Pacific Northwest day. Our 12 hour first leg of the flight departs at 2:00 pm, then a layover in Beijing, to arrive in Thailand on Wednesday morning at 12:40 am. We're bringing some last minute literature to read on Thailand. Carolyn will kill time on a side-journey into Middle Earth as she embarks on the last Lord of the Rings book, Return of the King. We've packed incredibly light and plan to purchase some Thai clothing and souvenirs while we're there.

Excited for: Delicious Thai food, sights and experiences we've never had before, Thai massage, elephants, scuba diving, temples, forests, friendly people, interesting people, affordable everything

Hoping to: be challenged, fulfilled, joyful, and embracing as much as possible!
Nervous for: Getting through airport logistics & junk as smoothly as possible
